A New Chapter: Finalising the Transition of Capital Steam Cleaners

Over the past 18 months, I’ve had the privilege of running Capital Steam Cleaners — a business I purchased from Sean, the previous owner. What made the transition so smooth wasn’t just the paperwork or the handover process, but the fact that Sean stayed closely involved, supporting me every step of the way. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Sean’s guidance has been invaluable, and I’m incredibly grateful for the time, trust, and mentorship he’s offered.

Transition finalised

Now, the final pieces of the transition are falling into place. Sean is stepping away from Capital Steam Cleaners to focus fully on his other business Perth Restoration Services, and I’ll be taking full ownership — not just in name, but in every operational detail.

Change of Address

One of those details is the business address. Up until now, our Google Business Profile (GMB) has reflected Sean’s location. But as part of the final handover, I’ll be updating the address to reflect my own — based in Ellenbrook. Since customers don’t visit us in person, I’ll be using Google’s service area feature to show where we operate, without displaying my residential address publicly. This allows us to maintain professionalism while continuing to serve Perth customers north of the river.

Deadline

We’re aiming to have all address updates completed across our website and listings by Sunday, 19th October 2025. If you notice anything out of place after that, feel free to let me know — I want everything to be clear and consistent.

My Background

For those who don’t know me yet: I’ve been a business owner and entrepreneur for over 30 years. My background spans administration, retail, property development, property inspections, and customer service — all of which have shaped how I approach this business. I believe in clarity, care, and doing things properly.

And yes, I’ve recently stepped into the role of Secretary for the Carpet Cleaning Association of WA. It’s an honour to serve alongside other carpet cleaning professionals, and I’ll share more about that journey in an upcoming post.
